Kate is fabulous to work with. She knows her timeframes very well. She asks for a lot of details and information so she has a complete picture of what you want and what she can add to your idea(s). She sold me when she came up with the idea to walk through downtown Durham on our way to our reception and she would take pictures along the way. (They came out great!) She has a great eye for photos and a super personality, too. She is a lot of fun and very gracious about being a part of such a special day. I would recommend her to anyone getting married. Two thumbs WAY up!

Kate was absolutely awesome at the wedding! I had never met her face-to-face before the big day, so I was a little nervous about how it would go when we met. Any reservations I had went away within 5 minutes of meeting her. She is so down to earth. She great tips & pointers for everyone to look their best during the formal shots. Throughout the entire night, whenever something happened that made me think “I want a picture of that” I noticed her right there clicking away. We got the photo booth, and that was definitely a great crowd pleaser for our guests. She did a great job.

My husband and I were attracted to Kate’s work because of the beautiful candids she takes. Her photos flood me with the emotions that I felt on my wedding day. When I first saw my photo album I laughed, I cried, I smiled from ear to ear. Multiple times I found myself saying, “I can’t believe she got that shot.” She captured our family and friends in their natural state, and that’s how we like to remember them. The editing that she does makes us look like royalty. That’s how she made all of us feel. Not just me and my groom. She treated all of us with the upmost respect and love. Even an annoying family member or two. Ha! I highly recommend Kate for her level of professionalism, her talent, and easy going nature. She’s very down to earth and that’s the kind of people we are. We could not be happier with our decision to hire Kate Peters as the photographer for our wedding. She was warm, engaging, and down-to-earth in person- very fun and natural with us (rather than pushy or sales-person-ey or obsequious, like some of the other photographers we checked into). She shot the most beautiful pictures of my husband and I during our engagement session and at the wedding and reception. Her shots of objects- flowers, shoes, centerpieces, etc- are breathtaking. And her sense of timing and eye for scene are great; our families can’t stop raving about all amazing moments she captured just right. (And she does it so subtly and unobtrusively that many of them can’t even remember seeing her there!) In the months leading up to the wedding, Kate communicated with us promptly and efficiently. I was going a little crazy and greatly appreciated her organization and attention to detail. She has a great online system for gathering information and handling the payment schedule. We just received our modern coffee table album in the mail and it is a work of art! Choosing to work with Kate Peters Photography was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding.
